SOUND IMMEDIACY/INTIMACY, by Jaime D. Rojas Vargas
Jaime D. Rojas Vargas is a Colombian based composer living and working in Brazil. He is currently finishing his PHD thesis which consist in creating a soundmap of the Iguazu River in the state of Paraná. He taught sound for 8 years at the Aesthetics Department at Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia and for two years at EMMAT a music school also in Bogotá. His creations has been exhibited and performed in New York City, Brazil, Colombia, Spain and online. His desires are to re frame our cultural, geopolitical, environmental, cosmological and social interactions throough his works..
